Ballarat Campus (Aquinas)
Ballarat is 120 kilometres west of Melbourne. The campus (see
Map) is near the commercial centre of Ballarat and within easy reach of facilities. The beautiful old buildings of the campus reflect the
history of the town.
We offer academic programs in education, theology and nursing.
Facilities and events
With over 600 students, the campus offers quality teaching
facilities including simulated nursing labs, computer labs, a library, a canteen, visual art rooms, a gallery, a bookshop and a gymnasium. The
Aquinas Student Association organises a range of social events throughout the year.
Student accommodation
Ballarat offers Camillus Residence, a modern complex of four, five and seven bedroom self-contained houses (79 places) where residents prepare their own meals. Fees in 2006 are $1,600 per semester ($3,200 for the academic year) . In addition to this there is also a $300 refundable security fee/bond. A caretaker-supervisor is in residence. The housing officer can also assist students with information about alternative accommodation options.
Graduate rating
ACU National consistently scores a five-star rating for our staff-student ratio (small classes) and for the high standard of qualifications of our academic staff (Good Universities Guide for 2005).
About Ballarat
A picturesque rural town of 86,000 people, Ballarat is a living museum of the gold rush period in Australia, with many fine Victorian buildings. Attractive gardens, fountains, monuments and sculptures enhance the wide, tree lined streets.
