ACU National requires international students from non-English speaking countries to demonstrate proficiency in English.
We recognise the following tests:
IELTS (International English Language Testing System)

TOEFL (Test of English as a Foreign Language)

ACU National's Designated Institution (DI) code is 9623.
English Language Requirements are as follows:
Undergraduate courses - Teaching and Nursing

IELTS with an overall score of 6.5, including an individual score of 6.0 for all tests; or

TOEFL score of 575 and TWE 5.0; or a computer-based score of 230 with an essay rating of 5.0.
Undergraduate courses - Other

IELTS with an overall score of 6.0, including an individual score of 6.0 in writing and speaking and 5.5 in listening and reading; or
-
TOEFL score of 550 and TWE 4.5; or a computer-based score of 210 with an essay rating of 4.5.
Postgraduate courses - Faculty of Health Sciences and Faculty of Education

IELTS with an overall score of 6.5, including an individual score of 6.0 for all tests; or

TOEFL score of 575 and TWE 5.0; or a computer-based score of 230 with an essay rating of 5.0.

ELICOS English Language courses
The University has three ELICOS (English Language Intensive Courses for Overseas Students) units in Brisbane, Melbourne and Sydney.
The ELICOS courses are designed to enable students who do not meet the English language requirements above to reach the required level.
Courses begin at various times throughout the year.
