1. Submission of Application
Applicants must complete every section of the relevant application form (74Kb PDF).
Applicants must include original or certified true copies of all relevant documents including academic transcripts and English Language proficiency results. Any documents not in English must also have certified translations. Staff at IDP Education Australia, or any Australian diplomatic mission, can certify copies. The University is unable to return documents sent by students.
Applicants may apply to the University at any time, however closing dates for applications are as follows:
Applications will be accepted after these dates if vacancies exist.
ELICOS applications can be accepted at any time subject to intake vacancies.
NOTE: Applicants sitting for the Australian Year 12 Certificate in the year of application must apply for degree courses through the relevant state tertiary admissions centre: that is, UAC for NSW and ACT, QTAC for Queensland, and VTAC for Victoria.
Applicants currently residing in Australia, but not sitting for the Australian Year 12 Certificate in the year of application, may apply directly to the International Education Office.
2. Offer of Place
If applicants are successful, the University will send an "Offer of Place" letter, which will outline the following:
Unsuccessful applicants will be advised by letter.
3. Acceptance of Offer
Applicants wishing to accept an Offer of Place should sign and return the "Offer Acceptance Advice" letter together with payment of fees as indicated.
ELICOS students need only to make payment as indicated as there is no "Offer Acceptance Advice" letter.
4. Obtaining a Student Visa
Upon receipt of payment, the University will issue an electronic "Confirmation of Enrolment" (eCOE). Applicants should take this document to the nearest Australian Visa Office in order to apply for a visa.
NOTE: Applicants from Assessment Level 3 & 4 countries should not pay fees until advised by their Australian Visa Office of Pre Visa Approval (PVA). The PVA notice should be submitted along with the payment of fees.
5. Applications for Research degrees
If applying for enrolment into a higher degree by Research, applicants should refer to page 62 of the International Student Guide (PDF 3.9Mb).
