Admission requirements to particular postgraduate courses are specified in the individual course information. Direct entry application Direct Applications are available from our forms page or by contacting the student centre at your preferred ACU National campus. UAC application - specified courses VTAC application - specified courses English proficiency requirements Submitting certified copies of qualifications All copies of supporting documents must be certified. Do not provide original documents. The original document and a photocopy must be sighted and compared (by a qualified person), the photocopy is then stamped and signed as being a true and accurate copy of the original. Applicants must not certify their own documents. People qualified to certify documents include: Justice of the Peace, Commissioner for Declaration, Barrister, Solicitor, Police Officer, Minister of Religion, School Principal, Town Clerk, Shire Secretary, Bank Manager, Doctor, Dentist, Pharmacist, Veterinary Surgeon, Accountant. Accepting or Rejecting an Offer Applying for credit Credit applications are available at our Forms page or by contacting the student centre at your preferred ACU National campus. Cost of study Non-research degree students enrolling in a full-fee-paying course pay fees on a per subject basis each semester and the cost cannot be deferred. The Postgraduate Education Loans Scheme (PELS) is an interest-free loans facility for fee-paying postgraduate students undertaking non-research courses. It is similar to deferred payment arrangements available under HECS. Note: For more detailed information and an application form refer to the PELS Information Booklet published by the Department of Education, Science and Training. Students enrolling in a Higher Education Contribution Scheme (HECS) liable course are required to pay differential contributions based on the individual units of study, not on the overall course. HECS charges are calculated for a year and charged by semester. Students have the option of up-front or deferred payments. Those who pay up-front receive a 25% discount. Note: For more detailed information refer to the HECS Information Booklet published by the Department of Education, Science and Training.(DEST). Student services fee Applying for online courses (ACUonline) Students may choose to study in mixed mode, ie on-campus and on-line. A student who is currently enrolled in a course on-campus and who elects to study some ACUonline on-line units should not reapply through ACUonline for admission to the same course. However, the student must apply through ACUonline. International applicants English Language Intensive Courses for Overseas Students (ELICOS) are offered through ELICOS units in Melbourne and Sydney. They provide courses which are designed to enable students who do not meet the English language requirements for University award courses to reach the required level.
