The university has established Excellence in Teaching Awards to encourage and reward high-quality teaching by members of the academic staff.

There is also an annual Postgraduate Research Supervision Award to encourage and reward high quality research supervision by members of the academic staff.

The Vice-Chancellor has established the ACU National Community Service Award to recognise and encourage exceptional community service by a member of the University staff.
